Hello and welcome.  If you are in north London (within striking distance of the A1) and fancy a day trip to north Hertfordshire this chap might be worth contacting.  He has been in the trade for decades and might be able to help you.  If you like what you see on his web site, you can perhaps email him pictures of the defective bits and ask him if he thinks they're still repairable.

He's a couple of miles off the A1(M) near Letchworth so fairly easy to find if you need to get the machines to him.

Hello and welcome from me too @Bibilee778, there's nothing I can add to the great advice you've been given as I'm a vintage machine user, it uses way too much brain power these days to remember what program does what on a computer let alone figuring problems out on one of the new fangled machines
 :embarrassed:.

At least one if those new fangled machines will be older than me, @Surest1tch
Janome M50QDC - "Jane" - Small, cute and hard working. Pfaff Quilt Ambition 630 - "Pfanny" - Pfickle. Bernina L450 - "Bernie" - Very hungry. Bernina 830 Record - "Becky"

Has no one recommended Helen Howes yet ... it might just be old singers she specialises in but its worth a go

Thank you! I’ll put it on my contact to call list. :).

Thank you for this!
I will contact them.
Amazing!!!

Welcome @Bibilee778

My vintage Bernina 707 was fixed by Bambers in Manchester so it might be worthwhile giving them to see if they have the parts you need.

Thank you for this!
I’ll definitely contact them

Hello and welcome from me to @Bibilee778 !  I also have a Bernina 730, although I don't use it very often.  Helen Howes does keep some Bernina stuff, but she is mainly Vintage Singers.

Bambers in Manchester may be able to help, and I'm sure other members will have more helpful suggestions.

I cannot agree with you more, the first time I sew on it, I realised it sounds like butter being cut, and it’s sooo quiet and smooth.

Too bad parts are so difficult to source. The machines would have last forever.

Hello & welcome! I had a 730, it was a great little machine but I sold it as it wasn't getting used - still slightly regret it as it was in fantastic condition & so quiet & smooth running.

Thank you - I don’t drive myself, and depending on public transport.  I’ll definitely keep his contact and ask for help.
