... that's a general "I", not just me.  I thought with Jo also getting a machine we might need somewhere to post our endeavours, and for other machine embroiderers to share their work too, be it expert or beginner.

These are my first attempts on actual clothing.  The shirt is an old but favourite baggy shirt that I sometimes wear at home in the evenings, so I knew I could still wear and love it if they did go wrong - but thankfully they didn't.   :)

I have also made a rather nice FSL (free standing lace) snowflake to go on the Christmas tree, but it seems to have gone walkabout.

Both are from Urban Threads.

The bird is really designed to be done on a dark background in white and two shades of a very pale version of the background colour, which is quite stunning.  I will be using it on denim, I think (after a test).

Oh must check out that site. I made a denim skirt recently with some flower detail from an built in design in my machine but would love something like maybe a dragonfly or peacock to put on some dark purple denim I have in the stash

They are fantastic.  I'm sure I've seen peacocks on there.  This is my latest from them.

I'm not entirely sure what this is, apart from a small bag that will have a drawstring at the top (when I've been shopping), but I think it's probably a present for my Mum.

It's on a slubby fabric that is satin-y on the inside and has a nicer semi-matte finish on the outside.  It took the embroidery beautifully.

That's lovely. I like the mandala style one in particular.

I only managed to do a few tests on some scrap fabric, because I don't have any cut-away stabilizer. And from what I've read, the general consensus is "if you wear it, don't tear it". I did order loads of stabilizer from Doris Darby, waiting for that to arrive so that I can do some actual clothing :)
I got some nice designs from Urban Threads, can't wait to do them!

Acorn, any tips you've learned so far and willing to share? :D
