Whilst looking for something vintage machine related (makes a change...)

I found this series on sewing bike inner tyres, and found it very interesting and inspiring,
so thought I'd share it here:

Interesting, thank you.  I have made cycling toolkit pouches with inner tubes, with coloured chunky zips and bright fabric linings.  I used mtb tubes, which were fine, but I will try road tubes next time as it says they lie flatter.

Amazing!  Never knew such a thing was possible.

Thanks Roger,

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

Glad it was useful for you guys too, might try for some for belly dance gear, with greys and oil slick Mother of Pearl.... maybe... maybe the 95k would be good for this?

Well I never. The things you guys get up to!  :o
Hopefully back more regularly! Ballroom sewing may be permanently paused but bag making is the current focus.

Mine would be accessorised with a dozen puncture patches - they get repaired and repaired!

There's a (cult) bag manufacturer here in CH - https://www.freitag.ch/en - they use inner tubes as trim for their bags, seat belt for the straps and lorry curtaining for the fabric, all recycled. They are very expensive and have a very odd smell.
I'd like to think I was inspired, but maybe sewing is just hard wired
