Iminei, do you draw your wavy lines first or just eyeball them? They are so evenly done I'm suspecting you draw them first? I'd have to do that as I can never keep to an imaginary line. :'(

I was also going to ask how you mark your lines.  So far I've only quilted in the ditch and parallel to the ditch and want to branch out in a different direction next time.
Life's too short for ironing.

Thanks Ladies,

The wavy lines are marked on the inside edge of the quarter where I start quilting (because they are going to have to match in the middle) and on the outside edge. They are roughly 1" apart...but then i just eyeball it and go slow.

Apart from that I'm just following the diagonals of the HST's or measuring out from two HSTs to make an imaginary square .....

just joining the dots really...

Fabulous Imi! I'm very impressed! Can't believe you eyeballed those waves! Mine would be horrendous if I tried that!

So today the 11th, I have hit Pink on the head; bar the binding as I really want a deeper pink than I currently have, (Makower darkest pink pink) either that or I go in the opposite direction with the soft pink and green flowers ???

Anyhoo I wanted to post some pics but I have hit some button on the camera and I think its taking multiple images after a timed response and I can't be doing with that!

I was, as you may know QAYG'ing the 4 quarters .....

4 became 2 and then 2 became one...

At this size (60 x 80 ") QAYG becomes a bit like wrestling with King Kong...

Tempers become frayed,
Pins will be bent,
Fingers will be pricked
and dark red blood will be spilt on crisp white cotton!

But it was after I had finished with Pink that, as I was dismantling an old wicker basket for the handles (for a friend) that my scissors slipped and stabbed me in the side of my thumb!!

It really, really, really hurts! and I have taped the flap of skin tight to the thumb in the hope that it knits together (soon) but there will be no sewing for a good day or two   :(
