Awww.... bless  <3
Hope you heal quickly, or, failing that, you could bleed on your pale pink border fabric to dye it a darker pink and save some money  :D

Oh no poor you! Hope it starts healing very soon what a damn nuisance!

As others have said I too am impressed with your 'eye balling' quilting!

However this sounds familliar  :|

Tempers become frayed,
Pins will be bent,
Fingers will be pricked
and dark red blood will be spilt on crisp white cotton!

I sometimes wonder why we say we enjoy our hobby what with the mishaps and injuries ... sewing is VERY DANGEROUS!

It Is Finished (well bar the label...but that'll be added later on)

In the end the dark pink fabric I had in mind was too close to some of that used for the HST's and the darkest pink batik that I used in two of the centre HST's was too purple and looked awful with the backing.

So I opted for a candy pink spotty batik! (you know me and my batiks)

I have BS'ed both the QAYG quarters and (using the mirror function on The Splurge...Thank you whomever alerted me to that on TSF a year or so ago) the binding ... so this quilt will be bombproof (and hopefully kid-proof!)

It looks great :D

IMO having a mix of similar colours, as you have donehere, always looks better than lots of the same fabric repeated.

It's gorgeous Imi, the balance is really good.  I particularly like the darker centre fading out to pale.  0_0

That is so pretty!  Certainly not 'girly' pink.

Really lovely, pat yourself on the back!

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

How have I missed all this??? That is a beautiful quilt. I'm not sure how you managed to get it done in the time especially with all that you have done for the forum. Give yourself a big pat on the back.
