I seem to be catching up at last.  Here is my September BOM.  Most of the fabric is from the jellyroll I used for the first quilt I pieced (said top is still languishing in a cupboard - it will see the light of day one day).  It's when I realised that jellyrolls have a lot of samey colours / designs so it doesn't make a very exciting block but I resolved not to buy any fabric for the BOMS and to use bits I already had - which isn't much.
Life's too short for ironing.

It is September,
the month of mellow fruitfulness,
a time to take stock of supplies and to ready yourself for the colder months,

and I present to you....

The Strip Buster

This block will use up all those leftover strips from other projects ...
or that purposefully bought Jelly Roll that just jumped in your bag as you toured your local Emporia ...

It is also a very quick make (chain piecing is an excellent way to put this together)
I already have a Quilt top ready to be layered, quilted and bound after only a couple of days work on it.

As ever click on the first pic, the destructions will be to the right of it.
If not click on the i icon in the top right of the pic!

That's really lovely! Planning a quilt makes my mind boggle!

Roughly how many hours does it take to make a quilt like that?
