I found this very simple pattern on another forum a couple of years ago. I've put this top together and intend to quilt it with gentle fm swirls. The pale colours in the top are actually patterned...the overexposure of the photo wiped out the details.   :'(  I have almost finished another one made with earth colours which will be quilted in strong straight, angular lines. It is a quick and simple pattern that I enjoyed doing.

And yep, there's 2 block placement errors  0_0

That's a lovely simple pattern and very effective. It looks like just the thing for the blocks that I took to pieces a couple of months ago.  >:)

Haha, yes Wrenkin, I'm eyeing off my tub of "W.B's" (weird bits) with renewed enthsusiasm. It's frustrating enough having WBs' and the idea of doing anything complex with them seems not worth the energy. But a quick pattern like this is just calling to be made using these pieces.

I love the white sashing, it really lends a lovely crispness to it. I think I'll bind it in the green.

I really like those, you make me desperately wish I could quilt.  One day I'm going to have to find time to learn.

After wrestling with my skinned quilt and having a bit of a play at doing spirals I decided it would be the perfect quilting design for the autumn tones quilt. My seams and sashings were not particularly straight...sort of my trademark  :\ and any straight line quilting was going to emphasise it no matter if I was doing diagonals, cross hatching or running lines. I didn't want to fm this one so decided a dirty big spiral in the centre with "half" spirals on either side intersecting with the big one would look just dandy.
Now this quilt is about 60" x 70"...it's not teeny so it was going to be a struggle swivelling all that mass through the harp.....ya think? Ya'd be wrong!!!!  I grabbed my trusty giant bulldog clips and simply folded the sides in on themselves a few times and then clipped them. I then had a nice tidy little "square" mass that was very manageable...wish I'd taken photos....doh..... Anyways, as I spiraled out I simply released a fold of the clips to expose the next circumference needing stitching. I haven't finished yet...this is a very slow, intensive process but I'm really enjoying it and am thrilled with how it is looking.
