FPP thread ends

Ladies, I am sure I read in one of my books (did I mention my craft book library?) that you don't need to tie off the thread ends when doing FPP as they get buried under the next piece.
Now I can't find the reference.

Is it right, please and do you just leave them?

I would pm Syrinx directly she seems to be the Foundation Paper Piecing Queen

But in the one piece of FPP I have done (Syrinxs tulip), there was no need for tying off threads as not only is the stitch length very small but its just creating a block and do you tie off threads when sewing blocks ??? I know I dont.

Oh, no, of course you don't. Well you definitely don't if you are chain piecing.
I forgot about that.
Thanks Iminei.
