The problem is, I don't know, what to do.

Blue is my favourite colour and I love this blue batik  <3 But the black background has also a intense blue touch, which makes it similar to the blue. The green would offer a better contrast,... and I like green... but I love the blue one....

I just wanted to say I'm still here and haven't forgotten the mystery quilt!  Clue 2 is halfway done.  I'm heading off to America next week for a couple of weeks and I've got so much to do before then that I will have to wait till I get back to finish Clue 2, and then also do Clue 3 before Clue 4 destructions arrive.  Yikes!

I very briefly read that as you saying you had to go to America in order to solve Clue 2.  I thought "Wow, The Sewing Place doesn't do things by halves..."   :|
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Goodyoh ...... there is a sight error in the destructions as the annotations say 6" strips and the photo is showing 5". Then it says cut 6" squares for the next stage. But if they are to end up 41/2" it would seem that they do start off as 5" as per the picture. Just checking before starting.  :)

I'll have to stop prevaricating now and make a decision on my number 6 though clue number 3 doesn't give much of a clue as to how it will appear in the greater scheme of things.

As I made a big of a pork up on an earlier stage I didn't want to risk losing anymore fabric!

I've been meaning to ask you Maliw did you make that lovely doll on your avatar? I've got a book on doll making and it's on my 'one of these days' lists which is a long one <whistle>

Yes I made her for a friend/work colleague who was having a bad time at work, I thought it might cheer her up. The pattern was in a magazine at the time but I've lost it so can't make another one :(
