Duh!  It didn't occur to me that those numbers were how many blocks were needed, I don't know what I thought they meant.  My brain must be entering lambing mode, it will be like scrambled egg for the next 3 weeks.
I went for broke and ordered some fabrics.  I will photograph them when they arrive (if my neighbour brings my downloading cable back -grrr.)
Life's too short for ironing.

your no 2 and 5 look the same...
they must be different but compliment each other

Also the others 3, 4, and 6 must go darker than each other
Or lighter if your 1 is a dark

I will make a "mock block " later, using a few old jelly roll strips. They won't be the right colours as I haven't bought the fabric yet ( nor can I afford to until after 24th )
Don't know which size to do.... don't know anyone with a crib; don't like wall hangings, but will have to price up the other options .... I'll let you know  :flower:

I'm pretty rubbish at all this squinting lark, but, at first glance they all seem a bit similar in tone, colour and size of pattern. No doubt I'll be corrected but I think you need a bit of contrast.But...if you like it, that's all that matters  :flower:

Okay Didi, those are beautiful fabrics but using them all together would not look good at all....far too busy.
You need to be able to showcase your favourite patterns with some plainer fabrics.

However all is most definitely not lost.....Choose the two you most like as your feature fabrics 2 and 5....

Then for your background (fabric 1) choose a blender, mottled or batik to tone with either the darkest colour or lightest in your two choices  (depending whether you want a light of dark background)

The other two fabrics need to be either a very small (non directional) print or mottled/blender or batik picking up the colours in your two feature fabrics

Looking at them I can see a very contemporary, modern quilt coming out of those...
and you could choose another one of them for the binding....

Your quilt will look spectacular but not by using all of those prints.

Iminei, I tried a mock block this afternoon  but.......... the background edging strips...are they 2.5"wide too. If so, the block comes out at about 10". What am I missing please?

When you were cutting your sewn strata into strips...you were cutting them at 4 1/2"  ???

4 1/2 + 2 1/2 + 2 1/2 = 9 1/2 less 1/4" seam allowancse should come out as 8 1/2
(or slightly less in my case as I dont really do scant!)

So far, I have these for 2, 3 and 4.  Others are on the way.  5 should arrive tomorrow.  6 is dark purple and 1 is light turquoise.  I may change 3 or 4 to something more exciting.
