Ahem, (clearing throat here in an awkward effort to appear nonchalant and unflustered).....my dearest Im could you possibly let me know how much more of fabric 6 (the darkest colour) I am going to need for my wall hanging size? It would seem, ahem, (more throat clearing and staring out the window) whilst gaily cutting and err, not paying attention, err, I feel I may be now running precariously low on said fabric. :o  It would be of great benefit to my state of mind if you could allay my fears and give me the chance to bolt, run, and speed down to the shop in mad panic and determination that "NO" they will not have run out of my pillar box red fabric and I can buy more if needed....please, oh please  :'(
Is it too early at 3.00pm to  :toast: :toast:?????

Clue 4 is the end of cutting for fabric 6,
unless you want to enlarge the quilt or use the fabric in a border or binding as I did!

In fact Guys and Girls, after this clue ... you will be assembling the blocks for the quilt!

Hang onto your hats, this is going to go veeerrrrry quick!!!

Imi, I have loads of fabrics left ( of all numbers )  -< I must have miscalculated, unless the assemblage needs more fabric than I would have thought.....I'll have to make matching bunting!!! :D :D

Rightio, all my Goosey Looseys are done; For some reason I have never, ever been able to make them that way; have always had to use the "4 at once" method.  Hence my panic regarding fabric quantity as I was cutting out larger-ish squares rather than the small rectangles. I think the way I do it allows for more numptiness in measuring and precisionlessness!

I've got a bit of a logjam at the moment with the Japanese thing, the BOM (still looking for a background fabric ) and the mystery quilt to do and don't seem to be getting any opportunity to sew.  Hopefully next week.
Life's too short for ironing.

"Numptiness in measuring and precisionlessness!" sounds like the way for me.  I googled the method and found this is the one I have used previously.

"How are you others doing??"
Well, I've brought the fabric down from the sewing room and put them on the cutting mat.    :)
