It must be what you prefer Supergran. (apologies)

As I was looking at your pic I was thinking that is sooooo unlike the quilt I made for my Auntie Gell and I couldn't quite work out why. I now realised that you had stuck to the plan and I had enlarged a wall hanging size with my own imagination (which you can do with these versatile blocks)

Whatever, it is very striking and I love those zings of yellow, which I assume tie in with your feature fabric (in fact I know it does as I know the fabric) ... do the yellow swirls in the FF show up more in the flesh so to speak ???

Not really Iminei, they look more orange than yellow.

I'm so close to having enough to finish the double size, I think I must finish it at that size, or I will have wasted fabric and time by doing unnecessary blocks. If I did this pattern again I think I'd look for more "batiky" fabrics rather than regular prints.
I may have to quilt it in thirds and try joining them as Brenda has done.  ><

Fabric 6, the dark purple. I have scraps that may be enough (fingers crossed) but if not I know Kate has more of it. In that case I will just have to wait until September to finish. Also a bit short of the orange and yellow, although I think I have similar I could substitute. I have to wait until September for the backing fabric anyway so it isn't a problem.  :fabric:

Ha ha, I wish.  :D
No, the thing is that Kate's is closed all of August, in fact most of Spain is closed! Not much happens here this month as it is the hottest month and when most people have their annual holiday. All the city folk come to the beach, and not many people carry on quilting. I'm not a beach goer, so I just stick the AC on and stay out of the heat.  :D

I got all the clue 6's done and then started on more clue 7's. Down to the last strip of the dark purple and needed 2 1/2 inch squares for more flying geese. (they are cursing me as well Lowena) the last strip was only 2 inches wide. Would you believe it? Halted by half an inch!!! never mind, I'll carry on with more clue 1's and maybe start joining what I can. Roll on September.
As if that's not enough, my WiFi keeps dropping the connection. What a day!

:'( I don't have enough fabric left to re-do after the muddle-up so have had to bow out for the time being. It's all gone away into its pizza box on the shelf....may try to fix it at a later date. Well done to everyone who is "soldiering on".

You should've seen the weird look on the pizza blokes' face when I fronted up to the counter and ordered a pizza for tea plus 2 new boxes of each size! And then he got reeeaaaaallly confused when I tried to explain what I wanted them for! LOL, and did I get some even weirder looks from the other customers as I was leaving! LOL!
