Blouson Jacket

I've finally finished the jacket - you know, the one I said should be quick. 0_0 I used a dupion with violet weft threads and green warp, so it shades nicely. The dupion was quite lightweight but I lined it with a heavier silk twill in black. I had to put it aside for a week as I tried to source a zip for the front. Do you find you forget what you intended to do when you leave a project?

I find if i put something to one side it stays there, like the waterproof jacket i cut out last summer and the velvet skirt i was supposed to be making for last Christmas.
It's not easy being this perfekt

The jacket sounds gorgeous Jen.   :)

If I have to put something aside I always try to do it at a point where the next stage is something I don't mind doing too much - so if it needs unpicking I try to do it before setting it aside because I know the chances of me picking it up to start unpicking are much slimmer!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.
