Shirt in patterned georgette

I bought this fabric maybe 4 or 5 years ago, I was with my sister and asked her opinion of it to which she wrinkled her nose and said "I wouldn't wear it!" I bought it anyway ( why?  - I'm not sure!) But then it sat in my stash as I couldn't think what to do with it!  A couple of months ago I decided I was sick of looking at it, so went for a classic shirt pattern. This is the result- what do you think?

Looks great.  One of those fabrics that look odd till made up.  You obviously saw something in it and it works!

Fabric Lover, what pattern did you use for your shirt?  I'm looking for a good basic shirt pattern that I can use again and again.  So far I haven't found anything that's suitable.  Yours might be the one....

SS, the pattern was Butterick 5526, http://www.sewdirect.com/acatalog/Butterick-5526.html I had made it before and knew that the collar needed cutting down a bit it was just a bit large for my liking. Also I adjusted the length, I made View B/C , one was too long the other too short. The fabric used before was more classic shirt fabric and I felt for that it needed a little more shaping, I had to add some darts.  For the georgette though as it was fine, darts weren't necessary.

I have used Butterick 6324 before too, http://www.sewdirect.com/acatalog/Butterick-6324.html I like this pattern, can recommend it.

Two good patterns, I particularly like 5526 and it has interesting variations too. Thank you!
