Two for this one. One with my own fabrics, and one with iminei's donated fabrics.

Well done, Fajita.
They're both lovely.

I admire your perseverance. I think I'd have had to have left it for a while before I'd have been able to face it again.

Good work ladies, I'm half way there, all squares cut and sewn, now for the cutting and resewing. I won't be able to do any next week so this is another block that is probably going to be late.

I wanted to clear the decks. I have things I want to do, and hate having several jobs on the go at the same time.
Tidying the machine area, today, lots of scrap page from October.

I actually had an afternoon to myself today - unexpected and so I completed this. After several false starts with the second cutting, patching and reapplying borders it's finished.
Please miss can the next two blocks be a bit easier - please? This was one big block.

Finished!
Actually, I really like this block and can see myself using it again (non Christmassy).
The hiccups I had with it were because of my sudden inability to measure anything.  I cut 4" strips for 5" squares so went for 4" squares instead.  Then on the first green fabric I cut 3 1/2" strips for 4" squares and then had to find another fabric because I didn't have enough to cut again.  That then meant I fiddled about for ages with the template (which my printer refused to print) to get the maximum size without wasting too  much fabric.  I then cut the second block in the wrong place and had to stick the errant piece back on with a bit of fusible interfacing.  I ended up with a 2 3/4" template so my resulting blocks are 2 1/4".  The overall finished piece measures 19" square.

That's beautiful, Ploshkin.

I'm thinking of making some as pressies for my mum and my sewing buddy, but that will probably be for next Christmas.

All the blocks are magnificent. It's not a block I'm actually fond of personally, which is probably just as well as I'd never get the hang of something so fiddly. Bravo to you all  :ninja:

That is beautiful Ploshkin, I really like the light fabric with the berries on it.
How are you doing Pearl - nearly finished?

I finished the cutting last night while I was watching the Bake Off.   :)

I've sewn the first two rows together.  Maybe tomorrow.   :P

I was surprised at how easily the rows went together.  All those off grain cuts give the edges plenty of give which makes it easy to match the seams.
