Where to start?

Where to start?

Hi!

I know... I’m a bloke, (so I haven’t looked around on this board... that seems a bit too prying) but the Mrs is into Belly Dancing so I’m looking for a book or some reference materials on bra fitting for a busty lass (32FF) as I’m looking at some fitted choli, and similar.

Thank you in advance!

I've a feeling we've got someone who makes costumes for belly dancers in the dance section so it may be worth asking this question there too.
Hopefully back more regularly! Ballroom sewing may be permanently paused but bag making is the current focus.

Not sure if this is helpful Roger, but I've been on the Jalie website, and they have lots of dance patterns.  Plenty of fitting and construction information too - although not sure about bra fitting.

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

Roger: here's a blog with an article about making plus-sized bras. There are tutorials and suppliers listed on the left hand side:

Here's another blog, this time by Debbie Cook who is plus-size. She has a great blog. Here's her section on lingerie. Scroll down past the panties until you get to bras. The initial photos are missing but the good stuff is below that.

Nothing of any help to add, but is it just me who's imaging the fun Roger and Mrs Roger will have with the fitting of this project?   :P :D
