You are all very bad and I"m not looking any more at this thread - the last thing I need at this moment is more fabric - sticks fingers in ears and adjusts eye mask :[

Another good one for quilting is Quilters Haven
They have a good range, sell in increments of 0.05m and service is excellent.
I phoned today when I was having a problem with an online order.  The lady took my order over the phone, said she would pack it straight away and put it in the post tonight.  That was 4.30pm.
Life's too short for ironing.

I'm posting this as I'm not sure if people are aware that's its moved http://www.quilters-haven.co.uk/about-us

I stumbled across this one the other day and have just taken delivery of some really lovely jerseys.  <3  (Oo er, I'm supposed to be on a fabric fast) I ordered yesterday afternoon and it arrived this morning, despite choosing the cheapest form of delivery. I think they could become a favourite. (After I registered I had an email giving 15% off this weekend)

I second the textile centre on eBay for a good range and great value. Can anyone recommend where to buy 10 inch regular zips in a wide range of colours at a reasonable price? The cheapest I've found is 65p with jaycotts which is pretty good; I want loads though!

I remember someone on TSF recommending Nova trimmings but I haven't used them myself ...

Yes!    8) http://www.brightbutton.co.uk/home/4590166016 A bundle of nineteen 10" zips cost £5.00!  http://www.brightbutton.co.uk/shop/4590166020/closed-end-zip-mixed-bundles/10144146  They are lovely quality and such a bargain for a bundle, especially if you like making little zipper bags  8)  :flower:

Not an online shop as such but one of my favourite ebay suppliers is: wallpaperalan
(Just search for the username on ebay).

He does not have a huge amount of stuff and it is mostly curtain fabric but he seems to get samples and ends of lines of Liberty silks from time to time at excellent prices. I bought a super roll of Liberty  curtaining - a sort of art nouveau tapestry pattern for DD's flat recently.

At the mo he has three Liberty jerseys listed. They are for long lengths - even I can't use 20m of jersey no matter how yummy it is. I contacted him and offered him £60 for 5m lengths of each of the three jerseys he has. This was accepted on Saturday morning and the parcel arrived on Monday morning. And fab stuff it is too. The lightest weight is the flowery jersey followed by the paisly then the leaves on red. The flowers and paisley are polyester jersey with a good bit of elastane and the red with leaves is a more conventional viscose jersey. They are all lovely and drapey.. I've never seen Liberty do poly jersey before which tends to reinforce my suspicion that these  are sample rolls. The paisley one does not photograph too well as it has a slight sheen. Anyway here they are! If you fancy any of this fabric it would be worth contacting him. I think he may struggle to sell long lengths as of course one does not need a great long length for a dress unlike a big pair of curtains.

I often pick up 10 zips for a quid at the market.  I don't worry about lengths as I generally get long ones and cut them down.  Saves faffing!

Just found this Ebay shop. Haven't tried them but they seem to have a lot of nice prints - many John Lewis and Liberty designs.

For anyone still looking for some Japanese fabrics for the sewalong, try Japan Crafts.

http://www.japancrafts.co.uk/store/c1/Featured_Products.html

Katie sources the fabric herself in Japan, and her prices are excellent, as the postage charges.
Highly recommended.
