Just looked at that vogue 1410.  Looked at that before and thought it was a bit radical for someone of my age.  Not saying how old I am, but my son will be 40 this year.

But, then again, why not.  Would like it in linen.

I'm 58, my son will be 36 this year, not far behind you.  I have one in linen, one in taffeta, one in viscose, one in silk, and a poly one.  Love every single one.

Morgan's choices would suit me down to the ground ( except the black dress on the curvy lady) in fact I have saved the links as I have two weddings coming up next year and from different sides of the family my nephews his nieces so I can wear it to both as TH and I are the only ones going to both Result!

Well here it is:

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

RTW.  No way was I going to make anything.  Still struggling with the 100 metres of bunting! Teaming this with pale grey suede high heeled shoes to die for (that will probably kill me by the end of the evening), pale grey bag and pale grey shawl/wrap that I probably wont use.

There has to be a heatwave or this outfit will look ridiculous.

It's not white by the way.  More like a pale cream.

Have asked for the brides approval and she says she loves it. Phew.

Very nice indeed!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Very pretty!  I wore something vaguely similar for my DD's wedding in October, thankfully the weather wasn't too cold.  I had a mink grey pair of trousers, a matching sleeveless top and a heavily embroidered long jacket over the top.  Oh and I had a pair of low heels available to change into after the photos, saved my poor old feet

Have a wonderful day!

Bit of problem, the shoes I bought a week ago and would have fitted perfectly with just a bit of practice wearing about the house are now killing me.

Suddenly, the toe that I broke about 15 years ago and has never given me any trouble has decided it doesn't like these shoes.  Change the shoes and I will have to change the bag and wrap I have bought.

Do you think it's appropriate for the mother of the Groom to go barefoot?

Can't you slip another pair of shoes in a bag and change  them  - or, my preferred option - drink a lot of champagne, let down your hair and dance bare-foot! Wooohooooo!!
If life gives you lemons, add to gin and tonic !
