Funny you should say this, I was just researching 3D printers as that is what the teen wants for Christmas.

Could take crafting to the extreme of producing your own equipment.

Stop it, stop it, stop it!  I already want to have a go at that Amish stumpwork from Roger's surprise find.  I need the time to finish a) my jacket and skirt and b) the jumper I am making for a grandson.  On the other hand, I did have trouble finding a second 3mm needle for the sleeve rib. Hmm.
