Today I am going to make a pattern from a favourite RTW cardigan so I can make simple cardigan jackets. I'll keep any I like for me, but also make up some of my fabrics which are less good colours into stuff for the May Day charity stall I do.
It has an open front, dropped shoulder and long band at the neck so is pretty easy to sew. I find the dropped shoulder is quite forgiving and means the same cardigan seems to 'fit' OK on a variety of figues and sizes.
I'll make them all approximately me sized, and the smaller ladies can wrap the fronts, the larger ladies wear them open.
