so as Im having a BIG tidy up Im offering them to The Sewing Place members

I think I had some idea of making them into cards but didn't quite know how to combine fabric and card.

For future ref. - you could use a very light film or PVA type glue, better yet you could stitch the fabric onto the card. Use a long stitch length and change your needle out afterwards :)

Something like a 15k probably wouldn’t grumble about card....
A bit of a vintage sewing machine nut! Singers: 500a, 401g, 48k Elnas: lotus SP & grasshopper, Bernina 530-2 F+R 504, Pfaff 30, Cresta T-132

With an HNC in Stitched Textiles, and C&G in Design and Embroidery - you'd be amazed/horrified with the things I've sewn on my machine LOL

I am thinking of framing some to hang in the craft space when I have the it emptied of junk  :P they are so pretty, like Victorian tiles  :)

I'm sure there are lots of folks here who have done similar courses and could tell you all about it. There are no rules on such a course, you are encouraged to push your own design ideas - that's why I did the courses, to see if I could create rather than just copy (having been a slavish copier for years  :) ) I still use knitting and lace patterns, dress patterns too if it comes to that LOL

My garden fence to keep the dog in was sewn on my machine. Amazing things, sewing machines.
