Teasle brush?

Teasle brush?
« on: January 23, 2018, 20:50:04 PM »
Does any one know where I can buy a proper teasle brush from please?  We don't have a proper haberdashery anywhere near us and the ones I've looked at on Amazon and ebay look rubbish.
Thanks in advance.

A pet shop?  You get brushes like that for grooming long haired animals.
Life's too short for ironing.

Thank you, I did think about that but then thought they might be a bit coarse but hey ho it's got to be better than sitting and trying to tease the pile out with a needle.  I did have a proper one many years ago but I can't find anything that looks remotely like that one, it was just a little circle of wood with lots of fine wires poking out of it.
I had a look at the pet stall on the market this afternoon but no joy there and there are no pet shops locally so sent for one from good ol ebay 0_0 0_0 0_0 <3

Hi, yes thank you, I saw those but didn't like the idea of the "prongs" being pushed through a bit of cloth which is just stapled on a bit of wood, I just can't see them being strong enough.  The one I used to have many years ago was like a disc of wood with the "prongs" sticking out of the wood itself.

Thanks everyone, I finished up with a rabbit brush  :S, it was the closest thing I could to a proper teasle brush.  It's not as good but it works, I popped into a little yarn shop this afternoon while I was out shopping and asked the lady who owns it if she can ask her suppliers if they can still get them, which she's happy to do.
