I think the competition is for adult clothing only, but @Manuela will be able to clarify.

Good point, and yes.... Fitting is a vital part of this competition.

I've done all my buttonholes this afternoon, so now I've only got the buttons to sew on, 22 of them, and the final pressing, then I'll post the finished photos.  I was pleased, and a bit surprised, to find that I had enough suitable buttons in the stash for the first dress and the shirt.  The second dress has  decorative buttons only (no buttonholes) and I've made some Yorkshire thread buttons to use.

It turned out to be 24 buttons 'cos I put 7 instead of 5 on the front of the flamingos dress.

I'll get some better photos next week, but I don't feel inclined to prance around in a summer dress whilst there is snow on the ground!

ETA - The inline thingie worked, but the photo is sideways, sorry.  I held the phone portrait/wertical rather than landscape/horizontal

Could you all please put your photos up here unitil Tuesday April 3rd with a few words on each of them (what pattern, what kind of changes you made, etc.). I'll then put up a voting thread, combining everything for ack contestant with a poll.
Thank you

Still not sure if I'll manage all three in time but I'll do my best!  Lovely dresses and blouse @BrendaP

I'm a bit stumped on my third one at the moment.  I have a vague idea as to what I want, but my embarrassingly large stash isn't coming up with anything that clicks.  I must have missed something...
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Hah!  Inspiration has struck ('didn't I stick some fabric in that cupboard because it wouldn't fit with the rest of the stash?')

This is the stuff. "This lovely quality cotton voile fabric is a fine, light weight woven cotton with a pretty flock print design."

It's currently in the washing machine, probably turning the rest of my washing purple.

I'll have to do something else with the neckline because I don't think the yoke will work.  Hmm.

Nearly finished... just got to hand sew the hem at the bottom.  I'm very pleased with this one.  I've added bell sleeves (I think that's what they're called), taken it in further just above the waist and then flared it out a lot more and given it a slightly circular hem, lower at the back again.  I didn't do the yoke, and although I was going to put a slit in the front of the neckline I didn't in the end, because when I tried it on with the round neck it looked right.

Interestingly it has ended up very similar to a StyleArc top that I made last year (in a different colourway of the same fabric), which I have never worn because although it looks fine, nothing feels right about it.  This one fits and feels good.  I may remake the other one.

No picture yet because it's sitting in a little heap on the settee waiting for its hem to be done, and every time I move it it spits out half a dozen pins.

I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

I should finish my jacket from Vogue 9212 this weekend but I've decided I'm not going to press on with the 3rd jacket as I won't finish it in time and I want to sew other things. I'll post a photo of my finished jacket here though.
