Piecing is done; now to remove all the paper. I think lots of pressing and starch will be needed to try to restore at least some idea of a flat surface.

Paper out and pressed. Now to decide what to do with it.

It's lovely @StitchinTime

I wonder if there's a category at the NEC quilt show that would fit?

What an achievement, @StitchinTime.  How big is it?

It is about 14" square and definitely not up to Festival of Quilts standard.

I'm thinking of making a straight line variation of it and using the two pieces to make a bag for my quilting rulers and rotating cutting mat.

It looks fantastic 0_0

It is about 14" square

Put a border round it and make it into a cushion cover - and be proud of it.

Finished this with a day to spare for a 2018 challenge  :)

I designed a straight line variation on the original pattern and have used both panels to make a bag for my quilting rulers seeing as my latest purchase (a 15.5” square ruler) didn’t fit in my existing bag.

To give structure to the bag, I used Bosal foam but even though it is fusible, it doesn’t stay fused very well. Quilting was just stitching in the ditch along the major pattern lines. The bag is lined with a silk twill remnant from my stash and the handles were a bargain £1 from the Harrogate show.
