It looks identical to my 1934 version, same decals and stitch length knob. I get the urge to double check the serial number. All other  machiens I've seen dating to 1950 and later has the striped face plate. I'm not saying it's impossible, but unusual. The version with stitch length lever was introduced by that time too. There have been similar observations with model 15.

You can't see the serial number in the photos but, according to the ISMACS website all the EG numbers were 1950-1951.  Maybe it's really EC which were 1939-1940, but those digits would make it a 15K.

It's a beauty, and in my neck of the woods as well.  Unfortunately, I have not the space to rescue any more machines.

I have a very pretty 99k, which needs an airing shortly, and also a 185k which is very similar.

It's very tempting though.... ;)

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.
