Hello from Canada
« on: March 05, 2018, 11:46:27 AM »
Hi all - so glad to have found some familiar faces and looking forward to getting to know many new ones.  I am a garment sewer with the occassional required foray into home dec but much of my time over the past couple of years has been spent developing my own set of slopers and base patterns. It has been a time consuming and, at ties, frustrating, process but thoroughly enjoyable and certainly a worthwhile one.  I used to fit others but doing it for oneself is a whole 'nother cat!

Yes - sorry about that over-zealous bouncer.  I've given him a good dressing down.   :fish:
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Hi Gayle
Welcome from me too.  :)

I used to fit others but doing it for oneself is a whole 'nother cat!

I'll say it is but I think it's about time I got down to it again - not really done much for me since the 90s!  :o
Hopefully back more regularly! Ballroom sewing may be permanently paused but bag making is the current focus.

Thanks so much everyone.  What a warm group you all are.  It was fun to see on the map where we all are from.  LOL! acorn, don't worry at all about that bouncer - a good one is worth his weight in gold and, thanks to you and Manuela, all turned out well in the end.
