The Sewing Place

Hello!

Hello!

Good to see a few familiar faces here! It's always nice to find a place to hang out with other sewing enthusiasts.

I'm a 50-something homeschooling mom, and I dabble in all kinds of crafts, but sewing has been my first love since I was a teen. I enjoy making clothes, but currently am playing more with quilting since my hubby bought me some new quilting toys.

I live in central Minnesota, USA. I was raised in a military family, and married a military man, so I've lived in a wide variety of places. MN has always been home, and we came here when hubby retired from the Air Force.

Hello Wendy and welcome from me too.

I'm enjoying your Raggedy Ann avatar. A favourite of mine as a child although not something I've seen about for a very long time here outside of vintage shops, probably best known in the UK with the 1950s generation.
Hopefully back more regularly! Ballroom sewing may be permanently paused but bag making is the current focus.

I am a lover of all things Raggedy Ann! (even if she does spell it without an "e".) I still have the Ann and Andy dolls my mom made when I was 5- they even got new clothes a few years ago- and an almost complete collection of the chapter books that were made of the original serial stories printed in magazines and/or newspapers back in the 30s or 40s.

Thank you all for all the warm greetings! And Hello to Manuela, whom I recognize from other boards.
