Hello from the Crafter
« on: March 09, 2018, 14:02:35 PM »
Hi, just a bit about me.  I have been sewing since I was very young (child) and have sewn just about everything.  I had a couture bridal business 20 years or so ago and more recently a home décor business.  These days I just sew what I want when I fancy.  Currently I am making a considerable amount of bunting for my son's wedding in July.  I work two days a week at a Craft Centre quite close to where I live.  I teach patchwork (English paper piecing), creative embroidery, silk painting, jewellery making and glass painting, amongst other things.  I must admit that, apart from the sewing, I am usually just one step ahead of the students most of the time.  It is great fun and not like working at all.

Looking forward to reading and hopefully contributing to threads on here.

Hi Crafter - Nice to see you on here. I read your other post about the Cornwoolly show at Heartlands so I think we might be neighbours as I'm reasonably close to that. Enjoy the forum anyway. :)

Hi there Crafter! It sounds to me like your first problem will be which topic to read through first - I'm sure your bridal experience will help us ballroom gals, do pop in to say hello when you're passing.  :)
Hopefully back more regularly! Ballroom sewing may be permanently paused but bag making is the current focus.
