So todays efforts were painstaking but when I finally stood back I seemed to have lost all sense of scale ...

I've built a tree-house in a bonsai tree ...

and this seating seems to be a verrrrry long way down the garden ... or built for gnomes?!

What should I do ???

Just add a note on the bottom saying "not to scale"

I like it.  I think I would add a few more quirky miniatures here and there.
Life's too short for ironing.

What size is the proposed finished product Im? I reckon it's fine and adds whimsy to it; sort of like "Gullivers' Travels". If there are other blocks to be added I would even consider running with the theme and continuing with the "out of scale" idea.
Juki TL2010Q, Juki DX7,  Singers: 1917 27K treadle (aka Gertie), 1957 99k (aka Vincent), 1951 99k knee lever (aka Shirley), 1950 99k handcrank (aka Alice), 1927 28K (aka Dora), 1947 201K treadle with motor conversion (aka Livvy)
....and the dusting and vacuming can wait!

This is the project as it is this morning ... its just over a metre square.
Im going to add slim borders to the side to take the binding but the blocks are all there.

Just think of the size of a bench/seats compared to the size of a house, not really too small.

What a nice quilt!!!!  0_0

I would leave it as it is. A quilt doesn't need to be perfect.

Btw: If the top is 1x1m,.... how small are the appliques??? :S *wow*

The bench is history ...

if the gnomes want a seat they will need to find a toadstool and fight it out with the pixies.

@Sakar  .. the individual blocks are 2 1/2" x whatever .... so quite teeny ...The bench is now 1 1/2" x 1" tall.

I have replaced it with a nice new one from Haskins garden centre.

I have been busy gardening and hard landscaping and building a fish pond ...

Isn't there always a stray thread lurking whenever you take a close up pic ?????

I think Im going to add a heron somewhere looking at what he might have won!

More pics, if you are interested in March's BOM

Goodness, you must have infinite patience to play with all those tiny pieces and different fabrics. The end result is certainly eye-catching. Love all the different stitches you've used for the appliques too. :flower:

Can you give me some ideas as what to add to my village wall hanging ???

Nothing teensy teensy ... the blocks were cut from 3" strips so are 2 1/2" finished

No cars, roads etc ... I have made some fencing and an open gate but dont know quite which home would have it ...

But which house ? (obvs not one with windows, doors and a kiddie bike in the garden!)

Can you tell I never work to a plan?! :)

The yellow one with the brown roof on the right hand side has room for a steeple and a graveyard.  :)
