Oooohhhhh....  :loveit:
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Gorgeous - it would take me forever to make those. :S I envy your speed.

Thanks to both of you!! :)

The speed is no secret, until January I worked 45h per week, but now I'm sewing 8h a day  :D There are 5 weeks left, then I won't sew any more for a long time (I'm afraid), so I have to make the most out of these weeks ;)

Gosh, my old bones would lock up solid if I tried to sew for 8hrs a day!  :S A couple of hours of an afternoon is about my maximum, and even that is not all sewing - it's interspersed with pinning and pressing and those sorts of things. :)

Your quilts are wonderful. I was wondering how you found the time, until I read your last post. Enjoy your 5 week quilting ‘holiday’!

@Sheilago: Thanks :)

Did someone say twins?
Only the quilts are twins, the "rest" should be only single :P

This is my most recently completed quilt.

It's my first 'braid' quilt and I didn't follow a pattern, so apologies if I've made any basic errors.

The areas where the braids appear to narrow are a ' design feature'  0_0 to account for me mis-cutting into the 2.5" strips, meaning that I could only get 3 braidy bits from the fat quarter rather than the 4 that I'd planned for. So I just designed around the problem.
'Jill' of many aspects of sewing, "Mistress" of few.

So, this is the third Bargello this year and I think the last big patchwork project for a long time. May I introduce you to...

Landmannalaugar
180x240cm, sewn after a pattern by Eileen Wright.
Wadding: 3mm cotton Fleece
Backing: cotton sheets from grandma
Machine sewn and quilted

And thanks to Iminei  :* I dared to quilt not only stitch-in-the-ditch and I used a multicolour thread.
It's not a present, it was ordered by DH and stays at home  0_0

There were still some Batiks-fabric left, so I made some cushion covers for the owners of the Bargello "Jurassic coast" and "the sound of sea"

Beautiful, Sakar.  So striking.

There is a Bargello supplement with this month's Today's Quilter magazine.  It reminded me of your wonderful quilts.
