There’s a US sears kenmore machine, has stitch cams and buttonhole cams in a nice cabinet in Leicester, the machine is 110v and will need a step down which you can get off eBay for 20, looks like a nice machine and sears/kenmore have a reputation for rebranding machines made by the best at the time they bought them.

No bids in the end, sadly. I suppose anyone who missed this could contact the seller to ask if they would accept bids or restart the auction at a lower level. Perhaps a discussion with them about the voltage issue might help too.
Hopefully back more regularly! Ballroom sewing may be permanently paused but bag making is the current focus.

It's  not too bad, selling a sewing machine often requires a bit of time and patience. It's all about reaching the right person and on second attempt it might go. I don't know this model at all, but from reading various posts on US blogs and forums it looks like the Japanese made Kenmores can be worth it. It depens upon the model of course, but all metal gears and nice running doesn't sound bad at all. Some are even high shank and super high shank, with extra strong motor, extra wide zigzag and are sought after for this reason.
