Can anybody recommend a good place to find these? I have seen them for sale, mostly individually, on Etsy?

My favourite at the moment is peek-a-boo pattern shop. They sell pdf patterns so you have to print and stick, but it's really not too bad when it's child sized!

Violette fields have gorgeous girl things, but I haven't tried them as I don't have a girl to see for!

Thanks Gemma, I'll check those out! So exciting choosing the first real item of clothing to make (after practicing a bit with bibs ofc!), I can't wait  :D

I also have a boy, but I am hoping to make some things for my two nieces who are a similar age at some point as well, so it's great to have that other link too!

The sew for boys Facebook group is giving me loads of inspiration at the moment - so many cute boy outfits!

I'm a big fan of Oliver and S.  The instructions are great.  Have a look at their blog.

Another vote for Oliver + S. I learned to sew garments by following the instructions with the patterns. Before that, I couldn't sew anything more complicated than a straight(ish) line.

They have a couple of freebies patterns that you can try out and see if you like the style https://oliverands.com/free-patterns/

Well one very happy lady here..!

After Gemma's message, I signed up to the newsletter on Peek a Boo and downloaded a load of free patterns yesterday..then on the recommendation of Bogwoppit and Daisy have now also had a load more free from Oliver S..
This must have saved me a fortune altogether, so I am over the moon!

Massive thanks all round ladies xx

I love freebies - the ones which are from a pattern company rather than a random blogger tend to be particularly good!

Thank you so much, I really am spoilt for choice now!

Have a few more queries, but I'll be good and post them as separate threads xx
