Oh, I`m dithering now.  I`ve got a few projects lined up for the next month or so but after that should have a bit of a lull (when the garden requires more attention) so perhaps I`ll get it done then

Annually...it's peace of mind. My machines are an expensive investment to me so I figure the money is well spent. It's also helpful to build up a relationship with the tech....for when a crisis occurs!

I took my Pfaff QA2 in yesterday. £95 minimum for a service  :S

Did you read Lolli's thread on her SMD Janome? If it's not very expesive and it allows for a bit of DIY care, something similar would get you far. I think she  is trying to upload a video, but there is some technical issues delaying it.
