After many months of no sewing due to building work, I now have my sewing room, so time to use it!
I'd ordered a few bits of fabric in the last couple of weeks, so thought I'd cut out two of them in my favourite easiest to sew and wear flared top.  The back centre seam has a very big flare out over the bum, so I take this in about three inches on the pattern piece usually, but as the green mock cable knit fabric was rather narrow, it meant I had to take it in more, resulting in an almost, but not quite, straight back seam.  This one is finished, must take a pic.
I also cut out a blue camo jersey, which isn't finished as the coverstitcher decided to skip stitches.  New needles didn't help, so this morning I will swap the threads and see if that's it, although I usually use Moon threads with no problems at all.
Oh, and cutting out was so much easier on my kitchen island unit!

Edit: Spot the mistake design feature on the khaki cable knit due to not really having enough fabric.  :P

Having the cables going up the sleeve instead of downwards is a nice design feature.  I look forward to seeing the finished items.

Changing the thread on the coverstitcher seems to have worked, thank goodness!
Finished the blue one now. I hadn't been sure about the fabric, but I like it now.

Funnily enough I am wearing a top made from this pattern myself today - mine is purple and black stripes!  I agree with you about the big flare out at the back. I`ve also made the version with the cowl neck and wrap-over front but don`t like that so much.
I actually chucked the pattern out just yesterday as I had made it in the medium but then decided I really needed large - which is in the next size range

I've made the wrap/flap over with the cowl collar and really liked it.  If I remember rightly, I stitched the wrap over bit down part way so it didn't flap open.  I must go and find it, I can't even remember what colour it is!

I like that, it's very wearable.  Good fit too.  The khaki cable one is my favourite, probably because it's a colour I go for every time.

The pockets are a good addition (I might copy that!)

Oooh lovely!  I have the blue camouflage fabric (Minerva?) but haven't done anything with it yet.  Take care though - if you fall into the sea nobody will be able to find you!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Yes, I overlock one edge onto neck edge then fold over to the width  I want, coverstitch, then trim off any excess.  I do have a couple of binding attachments, must practise with them!
