I'm beginning to think she has several hats. She's just managed to take off the one that said she couldn't clean out her sewing machine, so she's clearly been looking in the cupboard for another one. (We still haven't got that finger-wagging icon, btw.)

I'm on your side here, @Lowena .  I'm unlikely to take part in the competition either, mainly because I won't have finished on time.  (Will be sewing the binding on on the train to NEC.)

Imi did suggest I could take pics to cleverly disguise the fact that it was unfinished but I haven't even thought about backing fabric.  Maybe I could use the fabric I bought at last year's FoQ for my mystery quilt that still isn't finished.

C'mon, Ladies we did have plenty of time for this challenge ... A full 4 months!!! 

Please do try to at least get pics of the quilts to me by the end of the month
and the quilt itself to me by the 2nd August.

I've been up since 5:30 working on my quilt.  I have almost finished 3 blocks.  I just compared them to the ones I had already made and realised I have made a huge mistake.  Am now unpicking.

Will you be bringing your quilt to FOQ yourself ?
That will give you a lil more wiggle room, just send me some artfully arranged pics before end of the month and you'll be ok.

Oh dear, but would the children have noticed? They could have played ‘ spot the difference’ ! However, I know for your own satisfaction, they’d have to be fixed! I know the feeling

They definitely would have noticed, @Sheilago .  Even a blind man on a galloping horse would have noticed.   

I've been to visit my mum and she helped me to take out the offending pieces.

The top is still finished @maliw The backing fleece is sitting next to the top but they haven't been introduced yet

There's still plenty of time, @Lowena .   

I seem to have run out of background fabric, mainly because I spent the first two months trying things out and changing my mind.  In better news, the two days work that I had booked for next week have been cancelled.  Hopefully my fabric will have arrived by then.
