Hi - I'm Jane from North Staffordshire.  I was put off all forms of needlework by my Domestic Science teacher at school and for many years I refused to have anything to do with it, but now I'm a keen although not very proficient Dark Sider (think chopped-off points, corners that don't meet and crooked seams).  I also do some basic sewing, mainly girls' dresses, for our charity knitting and sewing group, and I collect American Girl dolls so I want to sew some outfits for them.  If the impression I'm giving is of someone who likes sewing but is basically pretty useless although hoping to improve - that's me  ;)
