Hi Fabric Lover,

Great skirt. I'd like to make a similar skirt in plain denim for my daughter. I have a skirt block for her and want to draft a pattern from it that's similar to yours. May I ask how much you added onto the centre front for the cut-on facings?
Thank you Puzzler. Sorry for the delay in replying. I had to look again at the skirt to remind myself as it seems a while ago now. I wanted the button band to be 2.5 cm wide so I think I allowed 4cm for each side. It depends on how thick your fabric is as to whether you allow more than this but I would say 4 cm is the minimum, I wanted the facings to have a double fold but not to be so thick that I couldn't get the poppers onto each band.  Hope this helps.

Love this fabric, where did you get it from?
Thanks SMM, it was from Cutting Edge Fabrics in Camberley. I think I bought it last year.
