I think it looks good, especially the bottom half. Are you maybe a slim Pear shape, smaller on top? The sleeves also seem a bit big.

If you're up to it, I would try the same pattern again, one size down on the top, including sleeves.

And I am of the school that A Jacket Over It solves a variety of problems  :D

Back home after the memorial now folks. My dress was perfect for the occasion - smart but not showy - and I felt very comfortable (in every sense) wearing it to meet and greet all DH's long lost rellies (a number of them new to him also). So thanks again for all your feedback and encouragement. I doubt I'll make that pattern again even in a smaller size as I have other (faux) wrap dress patterns to try, but as usual I've learned a lot...and I now possess three frocks! :)
