In the morning will be OK, but I won't get around to looking at it until mid evening - all the family come for lunch the first Sunday of the month

As soon as I posted here I remembered how to pm so I've done it.  I didn't do the black bar thing, I just clicked on your  avatar and did it that way! It's been fun. Thank you.

All four of the 100+ entries have been recieved, checked, re-checked and I've gone boggle-eyed 8)
Had to leave it until this evening to do all the checking because I had a couple or three glasses of medicine with lunch :toast: :toast:

I have been generous in that I've allowed words in my elderly Concise OED and words in the dictionary on my computer (a Mac), there are several in the computer dictionary which are not in the OED.

Sandra submitted 111 words but several were disallowed:
chark
OK - capitals
thrack
thrap
thro - it's an abbreviation of through
toc - capitals for Train Operating Company
tock - part of tick-tock with a hyphen
total = 104

Ploshkin submitted 105 words
copra - disallowed
Total = 104

Catlar submitted 110 words
thraw - disallowed
ratch - disallowed
tock - disallowed , as above
pack was duplicated
Total = 106

and the winner is

Bodgitandscarper who submitted 109 words
All were allowed but pa was duplicated
Total = 108

Bodgit, please PM me with your postal address and colour choice for your fat quarters prize.

Well done to all the entrants - I only got 90 something myself.

I have combined all the words - using a spreadsheet then deleted all the duplicates and the grand total could have been 145 words.

Well done Bodgit and thank you Brenda.  I won't demand a recount although I'm convinced my phone was tapped.
BTW Copra is dried coconut kernel.
Life's too short for ironing.

Congratulations, Bodgit!

I'm surprised there weren't more of mine disallowed....I put some in which didn't look right at all.

Thanks again, Brenda. I enjoyed it.

Sandra.

OK, in that case it takes your total up to 105 with nothing disallowed. :)

I can confirm that an envelope containing three blue FQs is on its way to Lincolnshire.

I'm saving the green ones for when Lowena wins a prize  :devil:
