I'm having a go at making lace flowers for mg daughter to use for her bouquet when she gets married in January. This is the 1st completed one.

That is beautiful!   0_0   :flower:
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Thank you she's having red and white. I have just got some white thread which is the very nearly the same colour as her dress.

Lovely  :flower: :flower:  Do tell us how you made it.

Is it needlelace? or cut from lace fabric?  is it hand buttonholing around the edges.  Presumably there's wire there to hold the shape of the petals.

It is all freestanding lace sewn onto Ultra Water Soluable Stabaliser which was washed out afterwards., the only wire is the one its been stuck onto using glue gun. Which was a little bit fiddly and then the wire has been covered with florists tape.

Really beautiful NW, how many will you be making?  Your DD is a very lucky girl.

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

Looks lovely but I'd be scared of a mix of red and white flowers........"blood and bandages" ( superstitious, moi??  :D )

Her partner is a man United fan so a lot of red and white in their home. I think  Hindu Brides  get married in red.

Lots of Indian weddings feature red heavily ( white is used for Hindu funerals ) it is the mix of red and white flowers specifically to which the superstition refers. It is only a superstition however ... so, good luck with the bouquets
