Summer Trousers

Summer Trousers
« on: May 10, 2018, 09:12:51 AM »
I finished these trousers a few weeks ago but they were a bit tight around the waist, I knew I had put on a couple of pounds and it all went to one place. I have managed to trim down a bit by thinking before I stuff all things cheesy down my throat and have been very good. Anyway I put them on this morning and took some pics - I tucked my T shirt in so as to hide the remnants of the muffin top (don't laugh). Not a very photo but all my own!  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I am pleased with the fit, a bit tight  but I wore them for a hour or so and and sat down for a while and they felt OK.
Just noticed - Oh dear, all a bit bleary , a bit of camera shake going on.

Very nice!  What pattern did you use?

The fit looks very good.

Thanks @wrenkins , I must have been breathing in, hence the camera shake. @b15erk , the pattern is McCalls 6901 (Palmer Pletsch), I have made 3 pairs now and each time I improved, this is the first time I have put the pockets in them, I have now transferred the pattern pieces to stronger paper as I am happy with the fit. All I have to do now  is  keep an eye on my weight.

Very nice trousers and the fit looks good too. I like the style, with the pockets and side zip.

Does that work? (begins furiously tucking)  You look very trim, SR, and the trousers look fab too.   :)

the pattern is McCalls 6901
I have that pattern waiting to be tackled, but trousers for me are for winter.  We still have a lot of summer to come, do we not?
