Silly question of the day ...

Helloooo ... how do you put the @ sign in front so that it will link to the persons name (instead of quoting)
I do feel silly asking this and for sure it will get answered in a sec

Using a laptop it's just a case of pressing whichever key combination gets you the @ symbol followed by the screen name with no space.  After the first couple of characters you should get a list of possibles (usually only one or two) and then click on that.  Simples, though upper/lowercase does matter I think.

Not sure how it's done on tablet or phone, but it will be similar.

If you type @followed by the beginning of someone's user name a box will come up for you to tick. eg @wr brings up wrenkins and wrigglefingers. Just click on the one you want.
