I made an Oliver and S Garden Party blouse for my neighbours daughters 2nd birthday. Big sister couldn't be forgotten so I made her an Oliver and S Badminton top.

They love them and wore them for their own garden party today.

I think I've got the hang of gathering and ruffles, not something that I've come across before as they are not usually on boys patterns!

Yellow is Liberty tana lawn seconds, chambray is an Aldi sheet, stripy is unknown slippy stuff.
Lurking in Lancashire, improving my sewing when life gives me time.

They are fab and it looks like the kids are enjoying wearing them.

They look great.
I didn't have girls either and my son wouldn't have liked the frills.    :)
And now we have three grandsons I still can't do frills etc.

Lovely!  And can I just point out that there is no outfit that can't be improved by the addition of pink or red wellies.
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.
