@Celia I am largely very pleased with it indeed. It is very user friendly and solid. Much quieter than my (more expensive) other machines for straightforward sewing.
I have had some issues with skipped stitches, although I have just spent the morning sewing on polycotton and not had a single skipped stitch. I discovered that the reel of thread goes the other way up to my other machines, and that dramatically reduced the number of skipped stitches when I was sewing on lawn, so I'm hoping that's been sorted now. I know that
@Francesca didn't have skipped stitch problems when she was using one.
I haven't done anything other than a bit of playing with the variable width free motion embroidery, but I think it could be great fun.
One minor gripe - it doesn't come with a second spool pin, so until I get one I can't use a twin needle on it, and I am very interested in the quality of twin needle stitching since both of my other main machines are very temperamental with them. I find this odd, because mine (the quilt version) came with a very impressive set of extra feet.
I'd say it was clever, well-made and easy to use. And, of course, it is gorgeous.
