Wow fantastic. Can't wait to see the final thing.

The second (and final) Mondrian Dress is finished. I'm happy with the outcome, almost lost the will to continue though. Although I love precision sewing, this was insane - even 2mm off were visible...

I chose a red zipper, it ends at the black strip.

The wide strips are 4.5cm wide the narrower ones 3cm - this is how I 'read' the pictures.

At some point I will make a Mondrian inspired quilt from the leftover fabric, but first I need to do some easy-peasy project to keep my sewing mojo up.

It's lovely Manuela!  You must have lots of patience!

Beautiful work.

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

That is amazing - especially that zip!  And I don't like zips!

I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Oh, isn't that just the loveliest dress?!  <3

It's a shame to hear it wasn't much fun to make. Enjoy wearing it. It's gorgeous.

@Manuela: top notch sewing, BUT we need to see a live body in both dresses. :D

I put that onto Mr Manuela's 'to do' list. I wants me to be his victim to practice photography and explore different lenses (his daughter roped him in to be the wedding photographer)...
