I finished the block last night - even the sashing had it in for me and required unpicking as the centre sashes didn't line up on the first attempt. The photo will have to wait until this evening as no doubt if I had tried last night the camera would have played up too.

@Iminei I think my curves might have been more curvy as I was trying to maintain a safe distance between my fingers and the rotary cutter.

Look forward to seeing the pics ...

BTW, when I do a BOM I usually have to make several blocks to get it right, get all the pics (and many efforts go wrong)
... with June's block I had to find the measurement by trial and error so made loads of blocks!!!

Consequently I got quite (only quite) good at sewing the curves ... and if I had the time (of fabric I have plenty) I would make a quilt or wall hanging from this block.

These are some mini blocks I made whilst practicing sewing the curved seams.
They measure 5 1/4" x 4 1/2" ish and I was planning on joining them to make a sort of 12" block (finished) but obviously I got the measurements wrong so went larger instead.

I got my curves to behave themselves although it was a close on some of them. I tried very hard not to make them too curvy...and, yes...they lie nicely when pressed.

Well, here it is. I suppose in its favour, I didn’t have worry about my seams being a scant 1/4” or whatever.

As an antidote to outlining windows in the Village I assembled the prototype blocks I made ... which were really too small and fiddly for the BOM.

I squared the individual blocks to 5" x 4" and used a 1/4" seam.
Still its a nice block and measures 14" x 11"

Right, I've just joined the blocks together with no sashing  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
It's green and pale pink.

@crafter for some reason I cant edit or add a description to your pic,

May I also suggest you try and take your pics from as near vertically above or pinned onto a wall ... so the block can be straightened out in the album ...

unfortunately in this case I can do neither .. Could you send me a pic of it to include with your details into the BOM HOF ?
