I've wanted to make this for a long time, and in the middle of sewing the Amelia Teadress, I decided it was the perfect time.

I'd forgotten exactly what a pain it was to trace Burda patterns, but it's done.

Then I realised after cutting out, I hadn't added S/A's.  I'd done a larger size, and who needs 5/8" s/a's anyway....

I've made this fabric up before, but can't remember what I made - this is the last bit, apart from a handkerchief size bit which may trim a top.

I caused myself difficulty by a) following Burda instructions - they have you gather both skirts separately :S, and b) changing to an elasticated back without thinking of the logistics.  Oh, and I think an overlocked rolled hem would be nicer on the ties.

All done now, just need to make the top - more tracing  :S.

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

That is lovely, Jessie.  Burda does great patterns but I am not up to tracing from that 'wiring diagram' and would forget to add seam allowance, too.  As for the instructions,
