Janome sliding guide foot

Janome sliding guide foot

Is anyone familiar with this foot?  It's for use with a janome C machine (drop in bobbin up to 7mm width).  Jaycott sells them and I thought it might be a useful tool.
Any opinions on this?

Looks very useful, a bit like the traditional quilting guide.

I bought one from Sew Essential a few months ago after seeing it recommended...somewhere.  It looked really useful so I had to have it. By the time it arrived I'd forgotten what I wanted it for and how to use it! So thanks @annieg for your post (sorry I can't help you) and @Iminei for the tutorial link.  0_0

Got around to trying this foot last night and it really is efficient -I am very pleased with it  :D
