Having been given the pattern for this quilt by @Iminei for Christmas, I've been bumbling along with it.
Finally, it has come together as a an entity....sort of.....
More tweaking to do and lots of finishing off, but you'll get the gist of things from the photos ( hopefully ). I'm quite pleased with how things are progressing

That is lovely Lowena!  Very different to your usual quilts.

Love those colours!

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

Thank you Jessie @b15erk  I've decided I much prefer to follow a pattern as I'm not very creative.....more a craftsperson than an artist if you see what I mean. I don't have a great imagination ( couldn't do @Iminei s village for instance ) but can follow a pattern and make a decent fist of it  :D

I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Not really, it's more straightforward than it first appears although it's very fiddly and there's a lot of wastage from the corner cutting.
I can't wait to do more, and others in her portfolio ( although I am balking at the £24 per pattern  :o ) Want to do the Awesome Ocean one next

Yes, Steep! But who knows what Uncle Birthday might bring ... as Imself sometimes says.

Can you not leave a hint or two out for David to stumble upon ???

Ooh, that's a good idea
I was getting bored making the animals, until I stitched them together. Now it's reinvigorated me to go on and make the big quilt -<........possibly  :ninja:
I really ought to start again as some of them are not perfect, but, if I make a bigger quilt, hopefully they won't notice  :|

it's very fiddly and there's a lot of wastage from the corner cutting.

But if you save your scraps the next one won't be quite so wasteful.

Seriously though, it's lovely and so nice that you no longer wear the old "can't do it" hat.  0_0

I like the colour choices to @Lowena   I particularly like the butterfly.  You could do things just with that butterfly block and perhaps the flowers.

If that's not the whole quilt how big is the bit you've done?
