Striped linen 3/4 length trousers

I got a bargain last week in Norwich, 1.2 metres of linen - white with mauve, green and pink stripes, the stripes differing in size so I have cut out the trousers and tacked the darts, I didn't have enough fabric for the inside part of the pocket but after having a rummage through my boxes I found some linen of a similar weight in the same shade of mauve so I've cut them out using that. Got a busy week next week out and about so won't be doing much sewing.Pics to follow. I've found a photo, the other is a remnant I was planning to use in my quilting exploration.

The linen looks like a really nice unusual colour combo. I’m looking forward to seeing it made up.

Ooh I love that linen!  I saw someone in a linen top with big flowers on it yesterday and wondered where I could get nice patterned linen... now I know...

Making slow progress, I've got to finish off the pockets and add the side fronts then try on for fit and sew leg seams, add the waist facing and it'll be done but I can't sit for long as my back is stiff and painful today.Found a photo of the lilac linen for the pocket which of course won't be visible when the trousers are finished.

Must be a sore back day - mine's been a bit difficult today. had to take painkillers in addition to my apero, plus a lot of time in the pool with the hot jet on my spine.

Hope you feel better today @Catllar , I feel a bit easier this morning. Just tried on the tacked trousers and they fit well. Perhaps I will finish them tomorrow.

Glad to hear you're better today SR, great to get a good fit on trousers!  Had to do some tiling today - no hassle getting down but getting up was another matter! We have relaid some of our patio which lifted following the winter frost. I'd rather be sewing!

They are finished and I am pleased with the fit, the linen is very soft and comfy to wear. No chance to get a photo yet.
